About the Swiss Equestrian tests here
Errors of course
Swiss Equestrian's rulebook refers to the sheet, and every sheet here prints 2, 5 and 10 points for the first three errors, except GA 03 Kombiniertes Richten, which prints 2 and 4 with elimination on the third. What the fourth does is set out under the errors box, confirmed by Swiss Equestrian on 1 October 2026.
Combined judging
GA 03 Kombiniertes Richten is out of 400: 200 for the 18 movements, which each judge marks separately, and 200 for the four general impression marks, which the judges agree between them, each at coefficient 5. The sheet leaves that coefficient column blank on purpose. Swiss Equestrian confirmed the 5 on 5 October 2026 and said the following day that the blank column is how the dressage discipline in Switzerland asked for the sheet to be laid out and will stay that way, so it does not mean no coefficient applies.
Not included
The FEI-derived L 19, L 20, M 28, S 31 and S 32; FEI tests, freestyles, quadrilles and the young horse tests (overall marks).
Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) scoring, answered.
How many marks is an error of course under Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) rules?
Under Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) rules the first error of course costs 2 marks, the second a further 5, the third a further 10, and the fourth error means elimination. Marks come off the sheet total before the percentage is worked out.
A fourth error eliminates. The Reglement puts it as the rider being excluded from the placings, with the right to finish the test; Swiss Equestrian confirmed on 1 October 2026 that this is elimination.
That is the rule in the Swiss Equestrian Dressurreglement, art. 1.9.2 Programmfehler, with the penalties printed on each test sheet (Stand 01.01.2026), and the calculator applies it automatically. Rules get revised, so where your rule book or sheet differs, the sheet is right.
Which Swiss Equestrian (Switzerland) tests does the calculator include?
38 current tests, covering Class GA, Class L, Class M, Class S, Freestyles and Young horses, each listed above with its movement count, coefficient movements, collective marks and the maximum printed on the sheet. Every maximum was checked against the published sheet before it shipped.
